If you register for my author newsletter:

If you voluntarily sign up for S.L. Francisco’s newsletter, this site will record your email address and the name you insert in the subscriber box. You can refuse to supply personal information, but that will limit your access to newsletters on up-and-coming projects, any giveaways, contests, or first look at character art. When subscribers click on a link in one of my emails or fills out a form, the site may record this information (see below how this information is used).

Subscribers may unsubscribe or ask for their data to be deleted at any time.

Giveaways and Contests:

If you enter a giveaway, your email and name will be collected. If you win a physical prize, you will be asked to give your full name and physical address to receive the prize. Please note, any requests for your personal information will be from the email address sleefrancisco@gmail.com to gather details only to ship your prize. I shall never ask for bank, card, or other details per email or use another contact method.

Non-personal Information

This website may collect non-personal information about visitors when they interact with the site. This information may include the browser name, means of connection to the site, and other non-identifying information.

Cookies

This website may use “cookies” to enhance visitor experience. Typically, cookies may be placed on visitors’ hard drive for record-keeping purposes and sometimes to track information about them. How Is the Information Used?

Newsletter subscribers’ names and emails will only be used for receiving the newsletters, or communication from S.L. Francisco.

Subscriber information is never shared with a third party unless required to do so by law. Subscribers information may occasionally be used for remarketing, such as to send more targeted emails to alert you of special prizes, bargains, or new releases. This in no way distributes the emails or signs subscribers up to any other services.

Sometimes S.L. Francisco will include third-party links through email or on the website. These sites have their own policies and you should read those before subscribing or purchasing from them.

Security of Information

All information is saved by Wix or Mailchimp and only S.L. Francisco can access these details. Should a data breach ever occur, subscribers will be notified within 7 days.

California Online Privacy Protection Act

CalOPPA is the first state law in the nation to require commercial websites and online services to post a privacy policy. The law’s reach stretches well beyond California to require any person or company in the United States (and conceivably the world) that operates websites collecting Personally Identifiable Information from California consumers to post a conspicuous privacy policy on its website stating exactly the information being collected and those individuals or companies with whom it is being shared.

According to CalOPPA, we agree to the following:

Users can visit our site anonymously.
Once this privacy policy is created, we will add a link to it on our homepage or as a minimum, on the first significant page after entering our website.
Our Privacy Policy link includes the word ‘Privacy’ and can easily be found on the page specified above.
You will be notified of any Privacy Policy changes on our Privacy Policy Page.
You can change your personal information by emailing us.

General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a regulation in EU law on data protection and privacy for all individuals within the European Union. The law’s reach stretches well beyond European Union to require any person or company that operates websites collecting Personally Identifiable Information (PII) from European Union consumers to post a conspicuous privacy policy on its website stating exactly the information being collected and those individuals or companies with whom it is being shared.

According to GDPR, we apply following to all PII that we handle (EU and non-EU):

Compliance with GDPR is integrated into the systems that collect PII and it is documented in this privacy policy.
We collect only such personal information that is relevant to our business, in this case, your email address. If you subscribe only, then your email address will be used to send information about free products, newsletters, and information about new releases.
We use double opt-in and before adding your email address to our mailing list, we explicitly ask your consent to store your email address and to send you newsletters, which can contain marketing material.
We never send anything without your consent and we never send material that is not related to our business.
Consent to receive our newsletters can be withdrawn at any time. Every message that we send contains a link to unsubscribe. if you unsubscribe, it is automated and immediate.
We use GDPR compliant software services, MailChimp , to store PII and we never share PII with any third parties unless required by law.
In case of data breach, we notify you as quickly as possible and will take all possible actions to mitigate losses. As a proactive means of mitigating damages, we never ask information that we don’t need to send you newsletters or, if you win a competition, your physical address to send the prize. We shall never ask you for any password, credit card number, bank, or any other payment method details.
You can ask us to delete all your personal information by emailing us.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

S.L Francisco may update this privacy policy at any time. A notice about such changes will be posted on the bottom of this page and emailed to subscribers. You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to review this Privacy Policy periodically and become aware of modifications.

Your Acceptance of These Terms
